Цепи основных технологических напряжений, по которым проходит основной поток энергии от источников к приемникам (потребителям). Назначение первичных цепей — выработка, преобразование, передача и распределение электрической энергии. Первичные цепи подразделяют на главную схему и собственные нужды.

Примечание - Проводящие части соединительных кабелей могут быть частью первичной цепи, как установлено в 1.2.11.6.
